Woody's Windows Watch
becomes Windows Secrets
Woody’s WINDOWS Watch is merging with Brian
Livingston’s “Brian's Buzz on Windows” newsletter to form the new Windows
Secrets Newsletter.
You’ll still get top rate news and tips on
Windows – at no charge to you – only with a new masthead. Your WWW
subscription will continue automatically with the new name of
Windows Secrets Newsletter.
Since 1998, Woody’s WINDOWS Watch has been
watching Windows and keeping its readers informed about the good,
bad and downright unstable with it and the growing avalanche of
patches. In the last few issues we’ve given a fearless overview of
the upcoming Windows XP Service Pack 2.
The Windows
Secrets Newsletter is edited by Brian Livingston, the co-author
of "Windows 2000 Secrets" and "Windows Me Secrets." Woody Leonhard,
Peter Deegan, and other writers will continue to contribute
articles. The combination of our two newsletters will enable us to
send you the latest tips and alerts on Microsoft Windows on a
regular basis, twice a month. By combining forces, we can give you
a better newsletter on a predictable schedule.
You'll receive a
welcome message on July 15 and your first combined newsletter issue
on July 22. The combined newsletter will contain more details about
the merger and give you even more content about the inner workings
of Windows. We think you'll like the new, stronger package.
The Windows Secrets Newsletter will be
continuing the WWW preview of SP2 with news of the public release
and any problems with the major update to Windows XP in the real
world.
- The privacy policy of the Windows Secrets
Newsletter is similar to that which applied to WWW.
Specifically, your email address is private and only used to
send you the newsletter and newsletter updates.
- Your WWW subscription will continue with
our new name, the Windows Secrets Newsletter,
automatically. Be sure to add our new "From" address to your
e-mail program, as described above.
- As with WWW, you have the option to
unsubscribe / leave the Windows Secrets Newsletter at any
time. See below for details.
- There is no change to the rest of
Woody’s Watch. Woody’s OFFICE Watch, Office for
Mere Mortals, Access Watch and Email Essentials
will continue publishing as before.

As many readers know, there are a variety of
anti-spam products operating to filter email. Some are on your
computer and others are controlled by your ISP. Sometimes these
measures mistakenly block legitimate newsletters like those from
Woody’s Watch and now Windows Secrets.
We have no control over these anti-spam
measures, we can only send an issue to the people who ask for it and
hope it arrives at its destination.
If you have control over your anti-spam systems
then we suggest you do this to increase your chances of getting the
new merged ezine:
To make sure you continue to receive the newsletter, you
should add our new "From" address or domain to your
e-mail program's Address Book and any "whitelist" or "approved
senders list" it uses. Either the entire domain
WindowsSecrets.com or the specific email address we’ll use:
